That took all of my weekend and today to pull together photos and update profiles but hopefully I am now through the bulk of updating the standard sized lantern to Mk3.
I added some indents to the skirts so that they are easier to remove from each other when you stack them and added several new ones which give you a few more combinations!
They, the Bell and Concave tops now live where the Mk2 model used to be here. I’ve moved the Mk2 profile to the original lantern page along with the Mk3, hopefully this makes finding the core easier.
I’ve updated the Mk3 main core profile which now includes a new version of the straight skirt which gains the indents I added to the other skirts for easier separation.
The Straight Top with Inserts is now updated and available in it’s original location. It gained an indent to help identify the right way to insert the panel retainer clips. And there is a new spacer to go between the core and it. The new spacer takes less filament and does not cast a shadow on the inserts above.
I also added instructions on how to create your own inserts along with a template file to help.
Then we have the Arch Wide Bands but for the original style (ie not chamfered) lantern:
Note the Wide Band Retainer included in the Arches profiles differs depending on whether bands are for a chamfered lantern or the original style.
Since I was remodelling the wide bands I took the opportunity to create 4 different sizes of round wideband handles:
The Flat topper has also been updated to Mk3, not much changed here other than remodeling it from scratch and switching to MagFit. But like the other toppers it has it’s own profile page.
I hope this re-organisation makes finding things a bit easier. I’ve split the toppers out onto their own pages since they get used by different sized lanterns.
I still have the squatter version of tops, the blank toppers and valentine parts to do but I’m nearly there!
Please let me know if anything does not seem quite right, this was a lot of changes.
