You can scroll through Patreon to when I said the Mk3 lantern was nearly done. Oh how foolish I was! After much testing the new clip used has undergone so many iterations, but I’m ready to release it and some new lanterns!
The clip is so much better than the existing clip it re-uses the space used by magnets and is much stronger. In fact it’s too strong; I had to create a weaker ‘Standard’ version. While testing everything was working well until I came to try to remove a flat lantern top from the core with inserts installed, I did not have enough leverage to remove the top!
But the good thing is I can now lift a lantern with a single strong clip connecting the ring to the lantern. I’d not swing it around my head or hang it outside in the wind without glue it’s not that strong but so much better than the current clip.
